ABOUT LEE

Currently, Lee will appear in his second Muny production, this time in the epic Les Misérables (Bamatabois), based on Victor Hugo’s 1862 novel, music by Claude-Michel SCHÖNBERG  lyrics by Herbert Kretzmer • book by Alain Boublil, Claude-Michel SCHÖNBERG directed by Seth Sklar-Heyn.

Most recently, Lee finished a 2-year tour in the first Broadway North American Tour of Jagged Little Pill (Doctor Woodson), music by Alanis Morissette & Glenn Ballard, a book by Diablo Cody and directed by Diane Paulus, appeared on stage in The Muny’s production of Sweeney Todd (Ensemble) by Stephen Sondheim and Hugh Wheeler, the Peristyle Theatre in A Gershwin Celebration (Guest Vocalist) with the Toledo Symphony conducted by Vince Lee and the Toledo Ballet choreographed by Lisa Mayer-Lang/Michael Lang.

International Theatre, Lee performed in Kander and Ebb’s Cabaret (Emcee), Vogelhandler (Professor Wurmchen) by Carl Zeller with a libretto by Moritz West and Ludwig Held, Jerry Herman’s Hello Dolly (Ambrose Kemper), and Dido and Aeneas (Aeneas) by Henry Purcell with a libretto by Nahum Tate.

While at the University of Michigan, Lee appeared in: As You Like It (Duke Senior) by William Shakespeare, Sonnets, Soliloquies & Soul (Narrator/Ensemble) by Michael McElroy, The Pirates of Penzance (Pirate) by Arthur Sullivan with a libretto by W.S. Gilbert, The Exonerated (Robert) by Jessica Blank and Erik Jensen, Passing Strange (Reverend Jones) by Stew & Heidi Rodewald, The Last Days of Judas Iscariot (Pontius Pilate) by Stephen Adly Guirgis, and Crowns (Reverend Ike) by Regina Taylor.  

Regional Theatre: Lee co-starred in At The Table by Michael Perlman (Nicholas)

A Michigan native and proud graduate of the University of Michigan, Lee grew up with a passion for the arts, which inspired him to pursue a BFA. He is a four-time State Poetry Champion, a student of Asian languages, and an advocate for combating food insecurity in urban communities. 

When Lee isn’t on stage or in the studio, he serves as co-CEO and Communications Manager of Vibrascope Enterprises, an independent label he co-founded to promote and support independent artists.
